Outreach Scholarship W.K. Kellogg Foundation Engagement Award / The C. Peter Magrath University-Community Engagement Award
Since 2006, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (A-P-L-U) and the National Outreach Scholarship Conference, with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, have partnered to recognize outstanding outreach and engagement activities of four-year public universities. The award program consists of the following two awards:

The Outreach Scholarship/W.K. Kellogg Foundation Engagement Awards are presented annually each fall during the National Outreach Scholarship Conference. There are 5 regions and each regional winner receives $6,000. The 5 recipients move on to compete for the national C. Peter Magrath University/Community Engagement Award (see below). All public four-year institutions are eligible to submit applications for the Awards. Learn more about the award.
C. Peter Magrath University/Community Engagement Award
The C. Peter Magrath University/Community Engagement Award is presented during the A-P-L-U Annual Meeting and includes a trophy and $20,000 prize. The national award is named for C. Peter Magrath, A-P-L-U president from 1992 to 2005. Learn more about the award.
